Reply Edge includes a built-in pace warning system that monitors your replies per minute and shows progressive alerts (blue → yellow → orange → red) before you hit dangerous speeds. It also tracks your 30-minute, 1-hour, and 24-hour rate limits. The extension generates text and pastes it into the reply box — you always review before sending.
Reply Edge is a text generation tool, similar to using ChatGPT to draft a reply. It pastes text into the reply box — you decide whether to send it. It does not interact with X's API for posting or automating actions. We recommend using the pace warning feature to keep your activity within normal ranges.
Five models across three providers: Grok Fast and Grok 4 from xAI, GPT-5 Mini from OpenAI, and Claude Haiku and Claude Sonnet from Anthropic. All support vision (they can see images in tweets). Credits range from 1 to 7 per reply depending on the model.
Beyond the default tones (Friendly, Professional, Funny, Supportive), you can create unlimited custom buttons with your own prompt instructions. Tell the AI to "reply as a Bitcoin maxi" or "be sarcastic but concise" — whatever matches your voice. You can import/export button sets and override the model per button.
Each AI reply costs 1–7 credits depending on the model. Grok Fast costs 1 credit, GPT-5 Mini costs 2, Claude Haiku costs 3, and the premium models (Grok 4, Claude Sonnet) cost 7. Your balance is always visible in the floating credit widget on X.com. When credits run out, you'll see a clear message to top up.
Reply Edge only reads the tweet text and any attached images for the specific tweet you're replying to — just enough context to generate a relevant reply. We don't store your replies, don't read your DMs, and don't access your X account beyond OAuth sign-in. All AI processing happens server-side with no data retained.
